How long can a woman keep saying, “I’m fine,” before she finally stops saying anything at all?
There are women who learn to smile through heartbreak, to say “I’m okay” when they are falling apart, and to carry burdens so quietly that no one notices how heavy they have become.
Before You Lose Her was born from the silence behind those words.
This anthology is a collection of voices, stories, and emotions that explore the things women often hide behind their smiles, strength, silence, and sacrifices. It is a space for the feelings that were swallowed, the words that were never spoken, the goodbyes that were delayed, and the parts of ourselves we sometimes lose while trying to be enough for everyone else.
Through poetry, prose, letters, reflections, and short stories, the writers in these pages explore love and heartbreak, emotional exhaustion and silent struggles, self-worth and healing, resilience and boundaries, and ultimately, the courage to choose oneself.
Every woman has a story that may never be told aloud. Some stories are written in tears. Some in unanswered messages. Some in sleepless nights, forced smiles, quiet departures, and the strength it takes to begin again.
These pages are for all of them.
