A writer, particularly a poet is always found by his muse. And for a poet, every poem begins with a spark. That spark could be a scenic sunset, a mesmerizing moon partially donned behind the clouds, the serene waves of the sea, an odorous dancing flower. It could be the chirping of birds in the morning, and the dusky befalling night. Sometimes, it could be beautiful memory, sometimes a painful flashback, sometimes a smile, and sometimes a sob. His muse could be a first fleeting glance of the beloved, it could be a longing to behold the beloved`s glance. It could be joy or sorrow. It could be a triumph or lose. It is sometimes nature, or it is divine. It could be an abstract click of thought or it could be a spontaneous flow of chaos in mind. It could be love, hatred, rage and revenge. It could be inspired by a tragedy or by a treachery. But so far I have come to know in life, it is often the presence and absence of someone who sits at the poet’s heart. It is their bewitching eyes, shape of their nose, the essence they carry, and the grace they hold.
“Poet’s Muse” is the second volume of writer’s collection of prose and poetry. From “Poet’s Miseries” to muse and then miseries again that too in just short span of space, the writer’s gooey little heart held the courage and patience to endure and now as he sits to write these words, he is surrounded by the whisper of his muse’s sweet soft voice, her musings and charms which have guarded him, a greatest love of muse that been poured upon him, and the dreams, the unfulfilled dreams, which the poet envisioned. This book is a genuine reflection of the poet’s soul to his muse. It is an ode to the muse’s grace. And as penned earlier, muse for a poet could be anything or someone so when the muse found him, he turned her into literature in the scrolls of “Poet’s Muse”
The collection is not perfect because it has been written in the situation of grief and sorrow yet it is honest. It is honest for the moments the muse inspired, created and cherished. It is honest for muse’s love. The prose and poetries most are about the muse, the quiet strength muse carries, soft words the muse whispers, and the light-love the poet looks for in an ordinary, cruel, and chaotic world. If you read them and feel the grace a muse blesses on the poet, you will seek your muse or let it find you the way the poet’s muse did.
